Call Center Representative (Billing)

This role in the insurance industry begins with two weeks of on-site training before transitioning to a hybrid model. You’ll provide excellent customer service, address billing inquiries, and work with brokers and underwriters to resolve issues.

The position involves a rotating schedule within Contact Center hours. Shift assignments are based on tenure and business needs.

Responsibilities :

  • Provide outstanding customer service to customers and brokers, supporting billing inquiries in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies in billing matters in collaboration with brokers and underwriters.
  • Triage and direct insurance or claims inquiries to the appropriate department for further assistance.
  • Communicate effectively and empathetically with customers through telephony and email, describing available programs and services.
  • Identify and interpret customer needs, responding appropriately and professionally.
  • Gather relevant information systematically to ensure seamless customer interactions.
  • Take ownership of customer relations through commitment to service and follow-up.

What you will need to succeed :

  • 1-2 years of contact center experience is highly desired.
  • Customer service experience, preferably in a call center environment.
  • Ability to handle a minimum of 70+ calls per day, with top performers managing up to 100 calls daily.
  • Strong telephone and email communication skills with professional etiquette.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to analyze and resolve customer concerns.
  • Ability to multi-task effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Quick adaptability to changing surroundings and processes.
  • Proficiency in word processing, Excel, and various Windows-based applications.
  • Reliability in attendance and punctuality is crucial.
  • Flexibility regarding working hours and shift assignments is required.
  • Bilingual fluency in English and French (spoken and written) is an asset for supporting clients in both languages.
