ABOUT THE ROLE
This position is is responsible for co-ordinating and supporting environmental health surveillance, research, partnerships, development of healthy public policy, information management, and data management relating to the Ontario Public Health Standards Healthy Environments Program Standard and applicable protocols.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Successful completion of a University Degree in Environment Health, Public Health, Environmental Studies or a similar field or approved equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience in project management in the environmental health field.
- Demonstrated experience in research methodologies and the collection and interpretation of health-related data.
- Demonstrated experience and skills in partnership building and community engagement.
- Demonstrated use of evidence informed practice including population health assessment, surveillance, research, and program evaluation to influence healthy public policy and to prevent or reduce the burden of illness from health hazards in the environment.
