At Oak Island Resort & Conference Centre, we have an immediate opening for a Cook! If you are an experienced and customer focused Cook with a positive attitude and willingness to grow and develop, we want you!
What You Will Do :
- Follow the leadership of the Executive Chef, providing a top-quality product that meets and exceeds guests’ expectations
- Produce the orders from the dining room and room service in a timely and efficient manner
- Assist to open or close the front line according to established procedures
- Preparation and set up of the line, having all mis in place according to prep list
- Maintain and promote a safe and clean work environment+
- Prepare and cook all orders according to standards, within the established time guidelines

What You Need to Succeed :
- Diploma or equivalent from an accredited culinary program
- Registered Apprentice would be an asset
- 2 years Culinary experience as a line cook in a busy environment
- Strong organizational skills
- Positive attitude and ability to be a team player are a must
- Willingness to learn and take on multiple tasks
- Excellent attention to detail
- Ability to show initiative and handle problems without guidance
- Must be able to stand for 8 hours
- Must be able to speak, write and read the English language
