I'm looking for a senior accountant for my client in the east end of Montreal. This is a permanent position.
Your responsibilities will include :
- Maintain and ensure the accuracy of the branch general ledger.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements for the branch.
- Perform bank statement reconciliations.
- Assist in the preparation of branch budgets and forecasts.
- ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
- support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation.
- oversee and process branch payroll.
- manage payroll requests and resolve discrepancies.
- perform regular inventory reconciliations and adjustments.
- manage the requisition purchase order process.
- develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers.
- negotiate terms and conditions with suppliers to obtain favorable agreements.
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or related field.
- Minimum 5 to 7 years experience in accounting or finance.
- Solid knowledge of accounting principles, practices and regulations.
- Proficiency in accounting software (Acumatica an asset) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving and organizational skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Bilingualism (English and French)
