THE COMPANY
Our client is an internationally renowned company specializing in the manufacturing of industrial equipment for aluminum smelters, the mining sector, the hydroelectric sector and shipbuilding.
Their innovative technology in the repair, maintenance and reconditioning of caissons for aluminum smelters is real added value.
Main challenges
Under the authority of the quality director and in collaboration with the production supervisor, he ensures the quality of the work with a view to shipping the material to customers.
- Check the conformity of the welded and assembled parts according to manufacturing drawings and the codes and standards in force (welding, specifications, etc.);
- Perform welding monitoring;
- Do dimensional inspection after welding;
- Write visual, dimensional and monitoring inspection reports;
- Propose corrective actions;
- Follow up on non-conformities;
- Support supervisors at the welding level in the factory;
- Provide technical assistance to production;
- Maintain welding procedures and employee qualifications;
- Perform internal audits;
- Proceed with formatting the collection of documents;
- Perform tasks in accordance with the ISO manual;
- Perform any other tasks requested by your superior.
Required experience and requirements
- One year of relevant experience in quality assurance
- Knowledge of metrology
- Experience in reading plans
- Mastery of common IT tools (Windows, Office, etc.)
- Day shift (7 a.m. to 3 p.m.) or evening shift (3 : 30 p.m. to 2 a.m.)
TRAINING
- Have Welding Inspector 178.2 level 1 training
- Qualification in non-destructive testing such as MT level 2 is an asset
