Title : Accounts Payable Technician

Salary : $45,000-$65,000 per year depending on experience

Location : Ville Saint Laurent

Work Schedule : 37.5 hours per week, a flexible schedule with 3 days work from home

Founded in 1935, our company serves over 80,000 customers from 80 branches across Canada and the United States. We are looking for an Accounts Payable Technician to work at Ville Saint Laurent.

We are open to junior candidates with 1-3 years of experience in accounts payable or more senior candidates with 8-15 years of experience in accounts payable.

Here are your main responsibilities :

Ensure accurate processing of all supplier invoices (including compliance with sales tax).

Research and resolve quantity or price discrepancies, or other disputes, and process credits as necessary.

Preparation of appropriate journal entries.

Participate in month-end and quarter-end closing.

Perform invoice coding; high volume.

Respond to various requests from suppliers and internal clients.

Proceed with the opening of new supplier accounts.

Validate and reconcile supplier account statements.

Qualifications

• They must be self-reliant and results-oriented.
• Positive and professional demeanor.
• Bilingual, with excellent verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to interact effectively with a variety of team members in various departments.

Collaboration skills : working cooperatively with others within the organization to achieve common goals.

Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail.

Must adapt well to change in a fast-paced environment.

Excellent time management and organizational skills.

College diploma or other certification in accounting.

1 to 15 years of experience with accounts payable.

Comfortable with Excel : V-Lookup, Pivot Tables.
