Metal Production - Crane and Machine Operator

The ideal candidate will have 2+ years working in the metal production environment and be a self-starter who is comfortable working with minimal training and supervision.

Advantages

• Daytime hours 8 : 00am-4 : 30pm
• $20-$23 / hour based on experience
• This role is cited to become permanent at the end of a successful contract, at that point generous company benefits will also be extended, as well as vacation pay and RRSP options with matching

Responsibilities

• loading, unloading and organizing of steel product
• shipping and receiving assistance
• forklift operation
• overhead crane operation
• preparation of orders
• some machine operation to cut orders to size

Qualifications

• Overhead crane operation experience an asset
• Must be able to read measurement tools
• Steel toed safety shoes with met guards required, all other PPE provided
• Reliable transportation an asset- bus service is available but limited
• Ability to work in a moderate to fast paced environment
• Ability to lift 50 lbs
