The Opportunity :
Our amazing client is a global leader in innovative water features, and is in search of a part-time Human Resources Manager to join their team in a permanent capacity.
In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the smooth operation of their HR department, supporting various functions essential to our organizational success.
What You'll Be Doing :
- Manage the full recruitment cycle, including sourcing candidates and assisting with interviews.
- Prepare employment agreements and oversee background checks for final candidates.
- Conduct exit interviews and analyze trends to support management decisions.
- Facilitate onboarding and orientation for new and returning employees.
- Coordinate employee offboarding processes and update records accordingly.
- Ensure compliance with HR policies, procedures, and regulations.
- Identify opportunities for employee advancement and assist in policy development.
- Coordinate training initiatives and maintain training records.
- Act as a primary point of contact for HR-related inquiries.
- Provide proactive solutions to daily challenges and assist in performance discussions.
- Support the development and management of the performance appraisal process.
- Assist in promoting a positive employee-employer relationship and engagement initiatives.
What You'll Need :
- Post Secondary education in Human Resources or related field.
- Minimum 3 years of Human Resources Generalist experience, preferably in a warehouse / manufacturing environment.
- Professional Human Resources Designation preferred (CHRP).
- Strong understanding of HR policies, employment laws (ESA, OHSA, Human Rights Code), and procedures.
- Ability to analyze HR issues and develop effective solutions.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Excellent time management, organizational, and prioritization skills.
- Critical thinking, problem-solving abilities, and confidence in influencing and negotiating.
- Agility in managing varying HR projects and deliverables (strategic & tactical).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and ability to learn new systems.
- Exceptional attention to detail, confidentiality, and sensitivity handling.
