Job Description

  • Ensure the compliance of the different companies of the group with the Canadian / US legislation regarding income tax and various taxes.
  • Prepare the tax returns of the Canadian companies.
  • Calculate the annual tax provision of the group companies.
  • Planning to optimize any tax benefits and / or credits for the companies and their shareholders.
  • Provide support during tax audits by various levels of government.
  • Ensure sales tax compliance for the companies.
  • Ensure proper accounting of tax related transactions.
  • All other related tasks. Qualifications.

Qualifications

  • CPA, CA designation and advanced training in taxation (Asset).
  • At least 5 years' experience in a similar position in a company.
  • Experience with CaseWare / Taxprep considered and asset.
  • Organizational skills and ability to prioritize.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Autonomous.
  • Bilingualism (English and French - Considered an Asset).
