The Manager, Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) Program, will be responsible, in collaboration with the ESG Team and internal groups, to support company's efforts in deploying ESG programs across the organization.

They will contribute significantly to company's ESG journey as well as help fulfill company's ambition to help lead Canada’s green transition by reducing greenhouse gas emissions from a critical source, our homes and buildings.

As a subject matter expert, the ESG Manager will be responsible for strong collaboration with key business functions, to drive meaningful and measurable improvement across ESG measures, as well as lead overall reporting and stakeholder engagement.

Main Responsibilities :

Partner cross functionally and with companies stakeholders to support ESG strategy and roadmap, including :

Collaborate with internal teams (Sales, Marketing, Field Ops, Customer Ops, etc.) to effectively embed our ESG vision in the value propositions to our customers

Identify, develop and implement opportunities to engage employees in ESG efforts.

Hands-on ESG assistance and support across the organization, including data collection / verification / analyses, disclosure / reporting, training and sharing of best practices.

Work with ESG SteerCo to prepare regular ESG updates to companies leadership team.

Support the development of reporting to highlight our progress and performance against our goals and commitments.

Required Experience, Education, and Skills :

Post-secondary education in a related field (Sustainability, Environment, Climate Change or other relevant program)

3+ years of hands-on experience supporting sustainability related functions

Knowledge of ESG reporting standards and global frameworks (i.e. GRI)

Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with ability to communicate with all levels of internal / external stakeholders

Team player, willing to partner with stakeholders to accomplish objectives

Self-starter and continuous learner with strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Advanced proficiency in MS Office applications; in particular, demonstrated experience with PowerPoint and Excel

High degree of integrity, business ethics and accountability with an ability to deal with sensitive issues and safeguard confidential information

Strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy and reliability

Ability to work in a fast-paced professional environment to advance multiple projects and priorities at the same time

Willingness to travel occasionally (mostly in GTA)

Previous work experience in energy, utility or home equipment is an asset
