POSITION SUMMARY :
The Machine Operator ensures the efficient and precise operation of our woodworking machinery. This role will require a strong commitment to quality, safety, and teamwork.
The ideal candidate will have a passion for woodworking, a willingness to learn, and a strong work ethic.
WORKING CONDITIONS :
This job is a full-time position, with the hours of 7 : 30am-5 : 00pm Monday through Friday. A full-benefits package will be provided following the probationary period.
The starting wage for this position will be $20-25 per hour depending on experience. On-the-job training will be provided for the successful candidate.
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Assist machinists in the setup, operation, and maintenance of woodworking machinery, including but not limited to saws, drill, edgebander, CNC, planers, and sanders.
- Handle and organize raw materials.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks on machinery, such as cleaning, lubricating, and minor repairs, under the guidance of the senior machinists.
- Measure, mark, and cut materials according to provided specifications, ensuring accuracy and precision.
- Monitor the production process to identify and report any issues or malfunctions.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including the proper disposal of waste materials.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of projects.
- Other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS :
- Experience in the cabinetry industry or woodworking is an asset.
- Experience using and operating similar machinery.
- Employees must be able to stand for long periods of time and make repetitive movements, such as bending and twisting.
- Compliant with health and safety standards and promotes a positive work environment.
