Description de posteOversee daily accounting activities, including accounts payable and general ledger management. Ensure timely and accurate processing of financial transactions. Maintain and reconcile financial records. Coordinate and manage statutory tax filings promptly. Supervise and mentor accounting staff, providing guidance and support. Conduct performance evaluations and facilitate training programs. Ensure compliance with relevant accounting regulations and internal controls, particularly SOX. Identify and mitigate financial risks. Stay updated on regulatory changes and their impact on financial reporting. Coordinate and assist with external audits. Perform monthly variance analysis. Collaborate with departments and offices in Canada, USA, and South America. Communicate financial information to management and other stakeholders. Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance. Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation or equivalent. Minimum of 6 years of experience in financial reporting for publicly listed companies, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role, preferably in the mining or resource industry. Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite). Strong understanding of US GAAP and SOX compliance requirements. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team. High attention to detail and accuracy. Standard medical benefits.
