Senior Mechanical Engineer
The Opportunity :
Join our clients dynamic team as a Mechanical Engineer, where you'll play a crucial role in reviewing and stamping mechanical projects of various complexities and sizes.
You'll provide technical leadership, direct design strategies, and lead audits and investigations, contributing to the continuous development of mechanical design standards.
This role offers the opportunity to mentor junior engineers, troubleshoot construction issues, and engage with clients, contractors, and other engineering disciplines.
What You'll Be Doing :
Review and stamp mechanical projectsDirect design strategies on complex projectsProvide technical leadership within the teamLead audits, feasibility assessments, and investigationsSupport the development of design standardsMentor junior engineersTroubleshoot construction issuesCommunicate with clients, contractors, and other disciplinesConduct site visits and reviews
What You'll Need to Be Successful :
Design experience with central plant systemsExposure to DDC control systemsExtensive knowledge of relevant codes and standardsDesign experience in various industriesEngineering license in Ontario10+ years of design experience in building construction5+ years of design experience in CanadaPro-active problem-solving approachStrong organizational skillsStrong leadership skillsEffective communication skillsDesire to work within a team
