Your future role on our team

BBA isseeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to support our continued growth and achievementof our strategic objectives in the Hydroelectric sector. The selectedcandidate will play a key role in all phases of engineering projects from frontend-studies through to field implementation with a focus on detailedengineering. As a senior member of the mechanical engineering team, thecandidate will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of exceptionaltechnical quality, identification and development of new business opportunitiesand nurturing the professional development of members.

With us, you’ll get theopportunity to...

• Perform high level engineering on penstocks, turbines, mechanical governors, bearing lubrication and cooling, shaft balancing and alignment, hydro-mechanical gates, valves, generator cooling, generator brakes and balance of plant.
• Take a lead role in client communications and business development.
• Be a key team member for small to major brownfield / greenfield hydroelectric projects.
• Participate in site inspections, condition assessments, commissioning, and testing.
• Provide mentorship and coaching of junior / intermediate engineers, actively sharing knowledge, and supporting the enhancement of skills within the team.
• Foster a culture of having fun at work while producing high quality professional work.
• Be the Project Manager or Project Leader on engineering mandates within the hydroelectric industry.
