Location Address : Downtown Toronto - hybrid 1 3 days / per week in the office ( no specific days)

Contract Duration : 6 months

Hours : Monday-Friday, 8 : 30AM-5PM (7.5 hours / day)

Typical Day in Role :

  • Develop and maintain the overall data architecture for the cloud-based platform, ensuring it supports business requirements and adheres to best practices.
  • Lead the integration of diverse data sources using Replication tools, APIs, and batch file processes, ensuring seamless data flow, data quality, and consistency.
  • Continuously monitor and optimize the performance of data on cloud and other data components to ensure high availability, scalability, and efficiency.
  • Establish and enforce data governance policies, data quality standards, and security measures to protect sensitive information and ensure compliance with industry regulations and best practices.
  • Collaborate with business analysts, data analysts, data scientists and other stakeholders to understand data requirements and translate them into robust technical solutions that align with the overall data strategy.
  • Create and maintain detailed documentation of data architecture, integration processes, and standards to ensure clarity, consistency, and knowledge sharing across the team.
  • Provide expert-level support for data-related issues, including troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and implementing effective solutions to maintain system reliability and performance.
  • Stay abreast of the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices. Proactively seek opportunities to enhance the data architecture, integration processes, and overall data management strategy.
  • Champions a customer focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems and knowledge.
  • Champions a high-performance environment and contributes to an inclusive work environment.
  • Work independently within provided guidelines, receiving general direction from the Director on policies and projects.

Candidate Requirements / Must-Have skills :

  • 5+ years of experience in Financial Industry and Commercial Banking.
  • 8 -10 years of experience in data architecture and data management : Proven track record in designing and implementing data solutions on cloud platforms, particularly with SQL MI and ADF or similar tools.
  • 8-10 years of experience with data integration technologies such as QLIK
  • Proficiency in integrating data from various sources using APIs, batch file processes, and other ETL tools.
  • In-depth knowledge of data governance and security practices : Experience in implementing data governance frameworks and ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Fluently in Spanish is mandatory

Nice-To-Have Skills :

Experience with GCP.

No coding is required. The manager will ask questions about Data Modelling. No technical assessments are required.

2nd round Director 30 mins MS Team Video ’get to know’’ questions such as ’Tell about you’’ and other behavioral questions.
