Responsibilities

Here are the responsibilities you will have as a Cost Estimator in Laval :

• Establishes the quantities of materials required for accurate project estimates;
• Interprets and analyzes the plans and specifications associated with projects;
• Contacts subcontractors and selected resources for project implementation;
• Estimates project durations, schedules, and required resources;
• Assists the construction manager in reviewing projects upon completion;
• Negotiates prices;
• Holds regular meetings with clients and supervisors to meet deadlines and estimated costs;
• Prepares contractual documents and costs for all contingent work;
• Regularly visits project sites;
• Resolves various claims;
• Produces and delivers final project documents;

Performs any other tasks required by supervision.

Qualifications

Here are the requirements for the position of Cost Estimator in Laval :

• Education in a related field;
• Minimum of three years of experience in a similar position (construction sector) required;
• Experience in multicultural environments is a significant asset;
• Proficiency in relevant software (MsProject, TPL, Excel, Word);
• Effective written and verbal communication skills;
• Proficiency in French and English;
• Strong communicator and negotiator, with good judgment, effective leadership, and initiative;
• Must hold and / or be willing to undergo necessary safety training for construction sites;

Willingness to occasionally travel within the northern region.
