Your position

I am currently recruiting a Process Project Engineer for one of my clients, a manufacturing company located in Varennes.

Permanent position 40h / week - face-to-face - day shift

Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you will be in charge of the following tasks :

The incumbent will be responsible for the management and continuous improvement of process safety within the plant. He / she will work with production, maintenance and management teams to ensure safe and efficient operations.

More specifically, duties will include :

• Implementing and monitoring change management processes, process risk analysis and assessment, safety management.
• Carry out regular audits of safety systems and internal policies to identify areas for improvement and ensure compliance with safety standards.
• Provide technical support to production and maintenance teams, intervening in the event of malfunctions or technical problems on equipment and processes.
• Collaborate with local teams to optimize manufacturing processes, improve productivity and workplace safety.
• Actively participate in the design of new projects and equipment, ensuring that safety is integrated right from the design phase.
• Contribute to the development and updating of standard operating procedures.

Your profile

• Minimum 5 years' experience in a similar position
• BAC in chemical or mechanical engineering
• Bilingual French - English
• ING or CPI qualification
• Experience in process engineering, mandatory
• Knowledge of the manufacturing sector, mandatory
• Salary : $90k - $110k depending on experience
• 40h / week position. Full insurance and company RRSP, telecommuting.

The use of English is required for this position for the following reasons :

• Communication with international customers : As some of our customers are based abroad, you will be required to communicate with them regularly in English, both orally and in writing.
• Working with English-speaking partners : You will be required to work with English-speaking suppliers and partners to monitor orders and manage contracts.
• Drafting documents in English : You will be responsible for drafting reports, proposals and contracts in English, for our international customers.
