Who we need

As our new Director of Business Development Defined Benefits Pension Administration Solutions, you will play a critical role at TELUS Health in growing sales funnel within our Retirement & Benefits Solutions practice and helping to achieve overall sales targets.

You will act as a business developer to generate new sales opportunities with new potential clients that you and the team identifies and develop an approach to maintain a strong pipeline of opportunities.

You will collaborate with internal teams for lead generation, RFPs, and finalist presentations, and maintain a network by approaching potential clients, search consultants, as well as participating in professional association and industry networking events.

What you will do :

  • Act as a business developer specializing in Defined Benefits Pension Administration to generate new sales opportunities with potential clients identified by you and the team.
  • Develop and maintain a robust pipeline of opportunities for Defined Benefits Pension Administration sales.
  • Prepare a sales plan and strategy specifically tailored for Defined Benefits Pension Administration sales in the Canadian and US markets.
  • Participate directly in business development opportunities related to Defined Benefits Pension Administration, including client pursuits, RFPs, and finalist presentations.
  • Identify the necessary staff and tools required to successfully deliver on the Defined Benefits Pension Administration sales plan.
  • Engage with search consultants to position the company as a top-tier provider in Defined Benefits Pension Administration and ensure a fair share of RFPs.
  • Be accountable and compensated based on achieving specific annual sales targets established jointly with your manager.
  • Proactively adjust the sales plan if targets are not met to realign and achieve sales objectives.

What you have :

Industry expertise : 7-10 years of strategic commercial sales experience with a focus on Defined Benefits Pension Administration (e.

g., operations, implementation, client management). (MUST be an expert in DEFINED BENEFITS)

Strategic client management experience : Ability to build and nurture trusting relationships, prioritize client needs, and balance business objectives.

Experience in leading business development activities with prospective and existing clients.

  • Project management expertise : Ownership of portfolio, alignment of projects to meet business needs, and experience in managing multiple concurrent projects.
  • Interpersonal skills : Ability to influence without authority, collaborate with teams, managers, and executives, and excellent communication skills.
  • Flexibility : Willingness to travel up to twice a year to client sites within Canada.
