Consider joining us as a Director, Business Development & Community Relations if :

You will drive change and grow community / client engagement while working to prospect and qualify new business opportunities with larger accounts across the province. A charismatic go-getter, you will connect with key therapists and key stakeholders to build and maintain relationships while driving strategic initiatives as set by the Motion leadership and field teams. The Director, Business Development & Community Relations will be responsible for business development in Alberta.

The role :

We are adding a seasoned, charismatic, and resolution oriented business development professional to our team in Alberta. You will work in a fast-paced environment, where you can identify and own areas for new processes and programs. You will focus on building trusting relationships with leadership and key stakeholders.

How you will spend your days :

  • Business Development. You will identify and pursue new business opportunities within Alberta through developing key relationships with occupational therapists, facilities and other key stakeholders by increasing Motion's profile in the Home Medical Equipment industry.
  • Account Management. You will develop and maintain relationships through ongoing support and consultation to ensure satisfaction and retention with key decision-makers in larger healthcare accounts, key funding authorities.
  • Key Stakeholder Engagement. You will regularly hold meetings and facility visits with partners for continuous assessments
  • Sales Training and Support : You will ensure adoption of national sales and service training initiatives to enhance Motion's client experience.
  • What you bring :

  • Experience. You have a minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in management and business development in a fast-paced, multi-site environment. Experience in healthcare, retail / service and / or an understanding of the healthcare industry.
  • Toolkit. Proficiency in Microsoft Suite programs, with particular emphasis on Microsoft Excel and Powerpoint.
  • Education. You have a degree or diploma from a post-secondary institution, ideally in Sales Management, Business Administration.
  • Communication skills. You have experience working with people and leaders to find the best solutions to fit their needs. You love building relationships with people and nurturing those relationships. You have exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal and can explain your ideas and thoughts in a variety of ways to get your point across. You are comfortable communicating on the phone, by email or in person - sometimes all at once.
  • Additional must-have requirements. You have a clean criminal background check and are bondable. Possession of a valid driver's license with the ability to travel to various sites or event locations.
