JOB SUMMARY

Reporting to the Divisional Director of Business Development, this position will be responsible for leading and facilitating the growth of Bayshore Healthcare's Specialty Rx Division across Canada.

The primary focus will involve establishing and nurturing robust partnerships with pharmaceutical companies in Canada to cultivate a sustainable revenue pipeline.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Spearhead revenue growth by expanding programs for existing customers and leveraging innovative strategies.
  • Manage the operational functions of local business teams located in Ontario.
  • Identify and assess potential business development opportunities, translating them into profitable revenue streams.
  • Serve as the primary liaison for cultivating and nurturing business relationships with current pharmaceutical clientele.
  • Drive the initiation of new business ventures through compelling presentations that highlight the company's strengths and how our services contribute to enhanced patient care and support vendor objectives.
  • Collaborate closely with the clinical team to craft comprehensive proposals aimed at facilitating clinical evaluations and driving revenue generation.
  • Evaluate program ROI for both the company and clients, ensuring profitability while maintaining fair market value in pricing strategies.
  • Partner with the RFP team to offer strategic insights and context for RFP / RFI responses, meticulously reviewing submissions.
  • Foster strong partnerships within the pharmaceutical and life sciences sectors in Canada to support market presence and business opportunities.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in coordinating and managing MSA amendments to streamline contract processes.
  • Attend pharmaceutical conferences, and quarterly business review meetings as necessary.
  • Deliver comprehensive business and pharmaceutical insights confidently through presentations to internal stakeholders and clients across Bayshore.

Job Qualification

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum of 10 years' experience in the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Extensive experience in market access, wholesaling, and development of patient support programs, with 5 years in practice.
  • Demonstrated expertise and familiarity with Canadian healthcare systems as they relate to pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, and life sciences.
  • Proficiency in understanding Canadian healthcare reimbursement trends, encompassing both public and private sectors, particularly for oncology products.
  • Comprehensive experience and understanding of regulatory processes and market access strategies.
  • Proven track record in implementing specialty patient support programs, including familiarity with various routes of drug administration.
  • In-depth knowledge of specialty generic, branded medications, and biosimilar sales and marketing practices.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with complementary service providers to ensure seamless commercialization processes.
  • Experience and expertise in conducting market insights and competitor assessments, particularly focusing on patient support programs, services, and pricing.
  • Strong ability to manage deadlines effectively and deliver results.
  • Demonstrated commitment to continuous learning, with a proactive approach to applying acquired knowledge to tasks and projects.
  • Meticulous attention to detail, especially in directing, editing, proofing, and writing RFPs.
  • Extensive industry connections and relationships.
  • Willingness and flexibility to travel as needed.
