Our client, a pharmaceutical manufacturer, is seeking a Warehouse Team Lead for their NW Mississauga facility. If you are an outgoing, self-motivated, and driven individual, with at least three years of experience in a leadership role and 5 years in a warehouse environment who possesses strong communication skills with the ability to handle all situations effectively.
The Warehouse Team Leader is responsible for overseeing the movement of materials within the warehouse, including shipping, receiving, and waste disposal.
The position reports directly to the Warehouse and Logistics Manager and takes on supervisory responsibilities in the manager’s absence to ensure safety, quality, GMP compliance, and overall efficiency in warehouse operations.
HOURS : 8 : 00 AM to 4 : 30 PM, Monday through Friday
SALARY : $ 65K to $75K depending on skills & experience
Key Responsibilities
Safety & Compliance :
Follow established safety protocols and procedures, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE). Report any injuries, illnesses, or hazards immediately to the Warehouse Manager.
Workplace Safety Promotion :
Ensure a safe and healthy work environment. Provide training and instruction to warehouse employees to promote safe work practices.
Equipment Maintenance :
Oversee the proper maintenance of material handling equipment. Request and follow up on repairs via Maintenance Requests.
Maintain cleanliness and organization in the warehouse daily to meet company standards.
Shipping & Receiving :
Receive and ship goods in compliance with company policies, customer requirements, and cGMP standards. Maintain accurate shipping and receiving records (Bills of Lading, SAP / Data3 system).
Inventory Management :
Transfer materials into warehouse storage promptly, using RF systems for tracking. Pick materials based on pick lists for manufacturing and packaging work orders.
Manage the return of excess materials to stock and handle waste disposal per SOPs.
Continuous Improvement :
Lead continuous improvement initiatives under the Warehouse Manager’s direction, tracking key performance metrics and identifying improvement opportunities.
Conduct ongoing capacity studies and report findings.
Training :
Train new Warehouse Associates on procedures, inventory accuracy, and RF gun usage.
Investigations :
Participate in root cause investigations for inventory discrepancies and safety incidents. Report findings to the Warehouse Manager and Inventory Analyst.
Cycle Counts :
Perform daily cycle counts and document findings.
Other Duties :
- Complete packaging and raw material sample requests in a timely, safe, and GMP-compliant manner.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications :
- Minimum high school diploma (post-secondary education preferred).
- Minimum five years in a warehouse environment, with at least three years in a leadership role.
- Proficiency in SAP (Warehouse module), Windows, Word, and Excel.
- Ability to use RF Scanner technology for inventory management.
- Strong math skills and an understanding of inventory management practices.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Leadership and change management skills in a fast-paced environment.
Physical Requirements :
- Ability to safely operate material handling equipment, including forklifts, turret trucks, and order pickers.
- Forklift and Fall Arrest certification required.
- Capable of lifting 25 pounds continuously and moving 400-pound drums using appropriate equipment.

- Flexibility in work schedule for afternoon and midnight shifts.
- High visual acuity and attention to detail for extended periods.
