The Opportunity

Leavitt Machinery is looking for an energetic Regional Sales Manager to join our team in Brampton, Ontario. As the Regional Sales Manager you will be responsible for building and managing a team, with a key focus on driving revenue and profitability for our business.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

As the Regional Sales Manager your key responsibilities will include :

  • Create reports focused on analyzing sales activity and trends
  • Hire and develop a sales team based on market penetration / profitability requirements
  • Provide ongoing sales training, coaching, and mentorship for Sales Reps
  • Create targets for your sales team, providing ongoing coaching to attain results
  • Use CRM system to monitor and actively manage sales pipeline metrics
  • Work closely with business units to target large competitive accounts
  • Identify and target complex / large accounts to be managed by the Sales Manager
  • Visit customers with Sales Reps when appropriate and beneficial
  • Ensure Sales Reps are focused on driving rental revenue for the business
  • Liaise with manufacturers when directed by the General Manager
  • Handle elevated customer concerns on behalf of the Sales department
  • Stay informed about competitor activity where possible, including market strategies, product developments, and pricing formulas
  • Proactively contribute to a positive workplace culture

Required Skills & Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess the following skills, knowledge, and competencies :

  • Post-secondary education in Business, Sales, or Marketing preferred, or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in an outside sales role strongly preferred
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a supervisory or management role, preferably in sales
  • Experienced and confident in cold calling and telephone marketing
  • Strong presentation and negotiation skills
  • Superior Microsoft Office skills with experience using MS Excel, Word, Outlook and Access
  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics CRM is an asset
  • Ability to travel throughout the territory required
  • Highly organized and a self-starter with strong time management skills
  • Clear and professional verbal and written communication skills
  • Valid driver's license required

The base pay range for this role is : $120,000 annually plus bonuses.

This is a hybrid role based in Brampton, Ontario.
