Job Summary

The Partner Technical Lead (PTL) is the technical lead for assigned Partners. Working in collaboration with the entire Partner team, the PTL is responsible for understanding the long-term vision, business challenges, how NetApp's portfolio can play a part, owns the technical aspects of the development plan and delivers technical solutions that drive NetApp products, solutions and services inclusion in Partner-led opportunities.

Job Requirements

  • Build relationship, understand Partners capabilities on must-win areas, strategic goals, key market trends
  • Meet with the Sales, Services, and Technical executives, thought leaders at the Partner, and establish a strong working relationship that drives collaboration between the organizations
  • Activate the Partner sales force by briefing with the technical and service delivery executives to ensure they are up-to-date with the latest advances and solutions NetApp is bringing to market
  • Work closely with the partner executives / managers and technical leads, and align on driving a cohesive strategy that is delivered to the partner via execution of the joint business plans
  • Work with partner to develop joint design-in solutions that include NetApp products, solutions, and services
  • Deliver NDA content to technical / business executives to continue the education of the partner, involving NetApp SME's and other stakeholders.

Drive interest and attendance to conferences, working with the field organization on tracking and reporting results

  • Promote Partner's capabilities in NetApp, through TR's, Blogs, Vlogs, and other technical presentations
  • Support NetApp's sellers identifying opportunities where offerings, services and solutions from Partner can be positioned, and enable and support collaboration between sales teams from NetApp and the partners.
  • Develop, streamline and maintain relationships with NetApp's technical leadership in the Areas and across key products and technologies
  • Coordinate partner enablement plans to ensure appropriate levels of certifications, solution competencies and services certified badges
  • Develop and drive long-term technology and innovation strategy with partner's technical leadership team
  • Build a NetApp bias within the partners and develop joint offering that includes the NetApp portfolio.
  • Assist in driving revenue by working with Strategic Partner extended org in their pursuits, including alignment with broader Partner sales team as well as NetApp sellers.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar technical partner manager role, technical sales, sales engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven understanding of the technology industry, product specifications, and current market trends.
  • Understanding of partner business and market
  • Understanding of the role of Partner in NetApp and the industry and of NetApp's Partner Programs
  • Ability to explain the NetApp Partner Programs to Partners, especially Partner Sphere
  • Appreciation on competition partner programs and levels of success
  • Ability to navigate the Partner organization and deliver message based on audience / persona
  • Ability to think strategically to set the goals and objectives of the relationship with the Partner
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Willingness to travel to meet with the partner when needed

USA and Canada Residents Only :

The base salary hiring wage range for this position which the Company reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for the position in the specified geographic areas or locations, is CAD $129,000-$157,657.

Final compensation will be dependent on various factors relevant to the position and candidate such as geographical location, candidate qualifications, certifications, relevant job-related work experience, education, skillset and other relevant business and organizational factors, consistent with applicable law.

In addition, the position may include some of the following comprehensive benefits such Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, 401(K), Paid Time off (PTO), sick time, leave of absence as per the FMLA and other relevant leave laws, Company bonus / commission, employee stock purchase plan, and / or restricted stocks (RSU's).
