OVERVIEW :

Alberta Blue Cross® is looking for a contract Project Manager to work in partnership with our business clients and technology teams to lead the implementation of a new Customer Relationship Management (CRM) solution.

In this role, you will collaborate and work directly with our business, IT, and vendor teams to define the business objectives and project scope.

You will plan the work, identify and manage the required people resources, and accurately budget and track expenditures to deliver a solution that meets the business objectives, on time and within budget.

Your experience managing the implementation of full-suite CRM solutions is essential to your success.

You will have excellent communication skills, and the innate ability to rally those around you to achieve a common goal.

Your ability to build relationships, communicate effectively, and actively engage clients will ensure continued success.

This is a 12-month contract with a possibility of extension.

WHAT YOU WILL DO :

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES :

  • Business stakeholder engagement work with various business and project stakeholders to understand the business objectives and requirements to ensure the project outcomes align with those expectations and deliver business benefits in a cost-effective manner.
  • Planning and execution define the overall project plans including the work breakdown structure (scope), resources, budget, schedule, and deliver against the approved plan.
  • Financial management Manage the project scope, schedule, and resources within the approved budget; monitor and track financials and address variances as appropriate.
  • Risk and issue management anticipate risks to the successful completion and implementation of the project, develop mitigation strategies, and facilitate resolution of issues to lessen negative impacts to cost, schedule and quality.
  • Organizational change management work with our organizational change management team and business units to ensure processes and resources are defined to ensure business and operational teams are prepared to accept and adopt the solution.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES :

  • Manage the full project lifecycle, following the corporate project management methodology.
  • Build and maintain effective relationships with project stakeholders.
  • Engage with management and business units by facilitating, leading, and managing key project activities.
  • Work closely with our employees, clients, and vendors involved in designing, configuring and testing the new solution.
  • Define, request, on-board, and coordinate the project team.
  • Provide direction and support to the project team.Mentor and coach team members to grow and develop in ways that address both corporate and individual needs.
  • Foster a respectful and positive working environment within the team that aligns closely with Alberta Blue Cross’s core values and effectively manage conflict.
  • Introduce and enforce quality control standards.
  • Manage the process of innovative change effectively.
  • Develop and present the project’s progress and other relevant information to stakeholders at various levels of the organization.
  • Facilitate risk definition; mitigate and manage project risks.
  • Facilitate issue resolution, options and decisions.
  • Facilitate, manage and implement project changes required to achieve the project’s business objectives.
  • Collaborate and coordinate with fellow Project Managers.

WHAT YOU WILL HAVE :

  • 10 or more years of progressive experience in project management with demonstrated proficiency across the full project lifecycle.
  • Experience managing full-suite CRM implementations, from initiation through to solution launch.
  • Knowledge of both theoretical and practical aspects of project management.
  • Knowledge of project management techniques and tools.
  • Proven strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience providing leadership to teams of business, IT, and vendor resources.
  • Demonstrated strength in planning, organizing and delegating.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills coupled with strong skills in verbal and written communication.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of stakeholders, from Executives to Analysts.
  • Experience within the health care or health benefits sector and with related systems is an asset.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) designation is an asset.
