Summary of Responsibilities
We are a property and casualty insurance firm seeking an accounting clerk position. The holder of this position will report to the Office Operations Manager and the Financial Controller. They will primarily assume accounting clerk duties, while also taking on receptionist responsibilities. Therefore, they will be required not only to perform various administrative and accounting tasks but also to greet visitors and ensure a high level of customer service. The responsibilities focus on managing cash receipts, commissions, and financial documents while contributing to the smooth administrative operation of the company.
Specific Responsibilities
- Greet visitors;
- Provide high-level customer service to both internal and external clients;
- Receive, screen, and route phone calls;
- Receive / send and sort mail;
- Work closely with the administration team;
- Process and manage cash receipts by check and direct deposit;
- Assist the finance team with tasks related to cash receipts and receivables;
- Communicate with relevant parties about discrepancies in cash receipts;
- Reconcile commissions to be received from insurers, investigate and resolve discrepancies as needed;
- Be responsible for the finance inbox;
- Manage reception emails;
- Enter data into various systems;
Perform any other related tasks.
Requirements
Bilingualism (French and English).
