Are you ready to embark on an exciting career in automotive engineering? We are seeking a talented individual to be part of our innovative team, focusing on the engineering, design, and development of Body Sealing components. Based in the vibrant city of Windsor, ON, this role offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge automotive projects and grow your career in a supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the design, development, and release of BIW Sealing/Welding and Structures components/subassemblies using parametric modeling with NX.
  • Collaborate with external suppliers, internal stamping plants, and vehicle plant body shops to ensure manufacturability, cost-efficiency, and material performance.
  • Develop and manage CBOM and quadris for subassemblies.
  • Create Source Package technical documentation and conduct technical reviews with suppliers and internal teams.
  • Define and track engineering validation plans (DVP&R, DFMEA, PFMEA) and coordinate physical testing.
  • Provide onsite plant launch support to address assembly, build variation, and fit and finish issues.
  • Ensure designs comply with internal standards, vehicle performance targets, and regulatory requirements.
  • Communicate project status, risks, and deliverables to stakeholders across various teams.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or related field.
  • 0-2 years of experience in automotive sheet metal development or related area.
  • Proficiency in CAD software (Teamcenter, NX, Vis Pro) and PLM systems.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Self-motivated individual.

Preferences

  • Strong knowledge of metal forming and joining techniques.
  • Familiarity with GD&T, DFMEA, DVP&R, tolerance stack up, and typical automotive validation testing.
  • Experience with Stellantis change management, release, and warranty systems.
