Randstad Canada is hiring for Power Breaker Technician position in the Kitchener area for one of our leading clients in the electric vehicle (EV) manufacturing industry.
What You’ll Do
Power Breaker Refurbishment Center (Electrical Control Panel Assembler Focused) will be working at the Kitchener, Ontario facility.
The successful candidate will be responsible for control panel assembly. The candidate will support all other shop operations / projects and may have a chance in the future to provide full scale analysis, repair / assembly and testing of complete scope of products serviced by the service center.
Schedule : Mon-Fri 8 : 30am-4 : 30pm
Location : Ardelt & Hanson, Kitchener ON
Pay : $26.89 / hr

Responsibilities
You Will :
Cross check electrical and mechanical components required for the build against the bill of material.
Layout enclosures and sub panels for assembly / cut-outs based on information provided.
Responsible for the mounting and wiring of components and sub-assemblies.
Responsible for performing electrical quality tests and inspections and modify / correct any errors detected.
Assemble / disassemble electrical products of all levels including motor controls, circuit breakers, etc. This includes all sub-assemblies to the component level and large-scale units.
Support aftermarket products and perform time entry transactions through Eaton proprietary software systems.
Visually check components and assemblies for electrical and mechanical defects.
Read and understand blueprint and schematics for assembly and troubleshooting.
Complete sub-assembly and wiring of any product as assigned.
Maintain quality records, calibration records, charts, and area performance to forecast as directed.
Receive direction and assignments from the assigned leader and report any problems to the leader.
Qualifications
Minimum 3-year experience in control wiring / panel building.
Min high school diploma however education in Electronics / Electrical Engineering technology from an accredited institution is an asset.
No relocation provided. Candidates must reside within 80 km of Kitchener to be considered.
Must be authorized to work in Canada without company sponsorship.
Demonstrated strong mechanical ability and familiarity with control circuitry.
Familiarity with process and procedures of Statistical Quality Control Methods.
Ability to read and understand complex blueprints, schematics, parts lists, and additional technical materials.
Strong Hand tool experience.
Strong analytical aptitude and complex problem-solving skills.
Effective time management and prioritization skills.
Knowledge and practice of safety precautions related to working with electrical and electronic equipment.
Understanding of the company’s and competitor’s electrical, electronic and mechanical products.
Effective communicator and interpersonal skills, including excellent oral, written communication, and listening skills.
