destinationone Consulting is exclusively partnering with our client, a respected non-profit organization, to recruit an HR Generalist . This is a confidential opportunity to join a dynamic team in a mission-driven organization. Reporting to the Director of HR, the HR Generalist plays a pivotal role in recruitment, HR data management, and implementing strategic HR projects, including an Applicant Tracking System (ATS).

The ideal candidate will bring experience in unionized environments (Union : BCGEU ) and have a minimum of three years of HR experience within a non-profit setting.

Location :  Lower Mainland, BC

Salary :  $70,000 - $72,000 annually

Vacation :  3-weeks

Key Responsibilities

Talent Acquisition & Recruitment :

• Partner with hiring managers to attract and retain well-qualified candidates who align with the organization’s values and vision.
• Manage the full recruitment cycle, including creating job postings, developing social media campaigns, screening candidates, preparing interview guides, and participating in interviews.
• Build and maintain internal and external candidate pipelines.

Requirements

Education & Training : Diploma or Degree in Human Resources Management or a related field. Combination of education and work experience in HR management is acceptable. Experience : Minimum 3 years of HR experience within a non-profit organization. Proven experience in a unionized environment (BCGEU experience is mandatory). Familiarity with talent acquisition, recruitment, and employee engagement strategies. Experience using social media platforms to build candidate pipelines. Skills & Abilities : Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail. Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential matters professionally. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Proficient with Microsoft Office and other relevant software. Ability to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and adapt to evolving organizational needs. A positive attitude and team-oriented mindset.
