Job Description

Are you skilled in facilities management and enjoy creating organized, functional spaces? Our client is looking for a Facilities Lead to oversee room setups, equipment maintenance, and building upkeep for daily activities and events.

Our client is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to enriching the lives of older adults through community engagement, social connection, and lifelong learning.

With a mission centered on inclusivity and well-being. This role is crucial to enhancing their organization’s operations, focusing on effective communication, community outreach, and program support.

Key Responsibilities

Room and Equipment Set-Up :

  • Manage room setups and coordinate with cleaning staff and event planners.
  • Ensure the equipment is operational and provide basic Zoom set-ups,
  • Oversee event preparation, support, and takedown,

Building Maintenance :

  • Coordinate painting projects as well as minor plumbing and electrical repairs with contractors.
  • Regularly check windows, furniture, and other fixtures to ensure everything is in good shape.
  • Arrange necessary safety inspections and schedule equipment repairs as required.

Storage Space Management :

  • Make the best use of storage space and keep the storage system organized.
  • Check equipment twice a year and keep track of keys and locks.

Qualifications

  • Experience in facilities management or related field.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask.
  • Experience with or willingness to learn A / V and IT equipment set up.
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations.
  • Strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
