We are seeking a Network Administrator to join the team in our Victoria, British Columbia office. This position is eligible for remote work within Canada.

About the Role

We are currently seeking a Network Administrator to join our enterprise networking team, providing operational support for a datacenter network environment.

As a Network Administrator you will be responsible for responding to network-related service requests, troubleshooting network issues, maintaining network equipment and assisting with the planning and implementation of network projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Configure, maintain and support network infrastructure, including Cisco firewalls, switches and routers.
  • Respond to support tickets, troubleshooting network issues and implementing network changes.
  • Monitor network performance
  • Maintain network equipment, applying patches and upgrades.
  • Create and maintain network documentation and diagrams.
  • Work closely with project teams and vendors to assist with planning and implementation of network-related projects.
  • Installation and maintenance of datacenter networking equipment.
  • Provide after-hours network support in a 24 / 7 on call rotation.

Required

  • Experience as a Network Administrator or similar role.
  • Strong troubleshooting ability and knowledge of network protocols.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications and Experience

  • 3+ years' experience managing Cisco firewalls and security policies.
  • CCNA, CCNP, Network+ certification or equivalent experience.
  • Experience supporting Microsoft Azure Networking.
  • Experience with Windows Server, VMware, Storage Area Networking, Citrix NetScaler.
