We are seeking a Network / Systems Administrator to join the team in our Victoria, British Columbia office. This position is eligible for remote work within Canada.

About the Role

We are currently seeking a Network / Systems Administrator to join our team providing support for an enterprise server and network environment.

As a Network / Systems Administrator you will be the first point of contact for network-related service requests, responding to change requests and troubleshooting datacenter network-relates issues.

You will also work with the Windows sysadmin team to assist with operations and related projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Configure, maintain and support datacenter network infrastructure, including Cisco firewalls, switches and routers.
• Respond to support tickets, troubleshooting network issues and implementing network changes.
• Support Windows Server and VMware infrastructure.
• Monitor server and network health and uptime.
• Work closely with project teams and vendors to assist with planning and implementation of IT projects.
• Provide after-hours support in a 24 / 7 on call rotation.

Required

• Experience as a Network / Systems Administrator or similar role.
• Experience configuring and managing firewall rules.
• Experience configuring and managing Windows Server, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications and Experience

• 3+ years' experience managing Cisco firewalls and security policies.
• CCNA, CCNP, Network+ certification or equivalent experience.
• Microsoft Windows Server or Azure certification.
• Experience with VMware, SAN Storage, Citrix.
