Program Assistant – Medical Withdrawal Service

CAMH, a leading mental health organization, is seeking a full‑time, temporary (12 months) Program Assistant to support the Medical Withdrawal Service (MWS) unit. The role reports to the Manager and contributes to safe, optimal functioning of the unit under the direction of clinical staff, promoting maintenance of the therapeutic milieu as part of an interprofessional team.

Responsibilities

• Assist in supportive interaction and monitoring of individual and groups of clients, providing direct care and support.
• Accompany clients for medical clearance and other necessary transfers.
• Supervise and facilitate client participation in group and individual activities.
• Communicate verbally and in writing about behavioral observations, assessments, and client responses to care interventions.
• Maintain dynamic and static safety elements of the program and service.
• Support a workplace that embraces diversity, encourages teamwork, and complies with all applicable regulatory and legislative requirements.

Queen Street Site, Toronto, Ontario. Shift rotation and weekend work required.
