Your goal is to provide end-to-end project management for Regulatory and Financial Transformation projects . You will collaborate and align end-to-end project milestones and goals with multiple stakeholders, technology team and executives.

You will be responsible for successfully planning, designing, executing, monitoring, controlling and launching initiatives in a complex iterative environment.

You will work closely with the Product team and Business / Technology Stakeholders to solve business needs while implementing and delivering new products and solutions.

You will demonstrate project management best practices alongside an agile value-driven approach. You will be accountable for leading programs and major projects and for reporting on the health, status, and blockers of these initiatives to executive management.

What is it like working as a Project Manager at Questrade?

As a Project Manager, you will work alongside a cross-functional team of Product Owners, Senior Managers, C-Suite executives, Technology teams and an Enterprise PMO.

You will serve a range of different stakeholders and be responsible for building relationships and reporting on the status of projects and tasks.

Reporting to the Program Manager, Journey Office PMOyou will help prioritize projects as they are requested and work to ensure your projects are running as efficiently as possible.

Project Management for various technology pillars

Producing plans for projects

Aligning stakeholders and technical teams on release readiness

Identifying project timelines and dependencies

Champions and promotes our PMO Agile practices by improving on agile project management processes within and outside of the PMO

Provide end-to-end project management; this includes developing a detailed plan, work back schedules, project estimates, status reports and continuously updating internal and external teams on progress.

Act as the key contact for internal stakeholders, and a conduit between stakeholders and technology team.

Holds project meetings to ensure projects meet deadlines and specifications. Prepares project tracking, reports, and analysis.

Ensures adherence to quality standards and reviews project deliverables.

Performs risk and issue tracking and reporting, status gathering, and report development.

Supports SAFe methodology and milestone management processes for multiple projects.

Identify project risks and work with the Program Manager to identify and implement mitigating strategies as required.

Assists in developing business proposals and project documentation to meet executives needs.

Maintains good knowledge on current and emerging technologies with ability to apply the relevant learnings to ongoing initiatives

Project management experience in banking and financial services operations with a focus on delivery of technology projects

Experience with Canadian banking regulatory requirements and practices.

Technical competence and understanding of banking operations principles.

Experience working in Agile methodologies and practices such as Scrum and Kanban as well as Scaled Agile Framework and familiarity with agile project management workflows (milestones, critical paths, creative briefs, work back schedules)

Extremely organized and have excellent time management skills

Strong communication skills, both written and verbal

Ability to remain flexible and change direction / focus given competing priorities

Strong interpersonal, communication and documentation skills are required.

Must have excellent oral and written skills

Expected to have strong understanding of project implementation methodologies and project management

Post secondary education

3-5 years of related work experience or equivalent in banking / financial services

Experience working with project management software : Smart Sheets, JIRA, Confluence, as well as G Suite

Strong Understanding of business, data, process, and object-oriented analysis and modeling techniques.

Graduate in computer science, information technology, business management or equivalent

Additional kudos if you have

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, IT, Business, and / or Finance with relevant Regulatory and Financial Transformation project experience.

Experience in the financial services industry and depending on business unit supporting, experience in brokerage.

PMP certification is an asset.
