Who are you?

You are an experienced an Assistant Project Manager with a minimum of 2 years post-graduate experience looking for the next step or are currently undertaking a similar role in a similar environment

Job Description

As a Assistant Project Manager, you will be involved in :

  • Assisting with the onboarding of the client project and documentation at the inception of the project
  • Help with the design and construction process including submittal and RFI process.
  • Meeting coordination
  • Assist with the procurement of consultants, contractors and 3rd Party contractors through the tendering process
  • Transcribe meeting minutes and action items and drive each item to closure.
  • Assist with project compliance with client’s document controls and file specifications.
  • Regular collaboration and coordination is required with internal resources and design build contractors.
  • RFI review and processing
  • Change order collation and budget management
  • Assist with the review of all invoicing, certificates of payments and recommendations.
  • Administration and distribution of project observation, scheduling updates, and budgeting reports
  • Punch-list and deficiency management
  • Assist with project closeout specifications and associated turnover documentation.
  • Transition of close-out documentation to operations
  • Working with the Business Development Group in acquiring proposal documentation for proposal creation.

  • Ability to effectively collaborate with others
  • Delivers an exciting team vision, which inspires others to perform beyond their initial aspirations

Qualifications

The candidate must have :

  • A minimum of 2 years of experience as an Assistant Project Manager coordinating projects and assistingconstruction projects of increasing complexity required.
  • Security clearance (Secret) or ability to gain this quickly
  • Willingness to work toward their CAPM, PMP or P.Eng
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, or a similar field
  • Real property construction exposure,ideally in the Ottawa market
  • Proficient in MS Outlook, Word, Excel, Powerpoint, & MSProject or P6.
  • Good with numbers, technology, and web-based data platforms.
  • Bilingual with English and French is an asset or may be a requirement
