A manufacturing company specializing in metal fabrication, is seeking a skilled Metal Polishing Specialist to join our team.
As a Metal Polishing Specialist, you will be responsible for polishing, buffing, and finishing metal surfaces to achieve a high-quality, smooth, and reflective finish.
Attention to detail and a strong understanding of different polishing techniques and materials are essential for success in this role.
Responsibilities
- Prepares metal surfaces for polishing by cleaning, degreasing, and removing any dirt or contaminants
- Polishes metal surfaces using various hand-held tools, such as sanders, grinders, and buffers
- Applies polishing compounds and abrasives to achieve desired finish
- Inspects finished products to ensure quality standards are met
- Performs routine maintenance on polishing equipment to ensure optimal performance
- Collaborates with other team members to ensure efficient workflow and on-time delivery of products
Requirements
- Prior experience as a Metal Polishing Specialist or similar role
- Excellent knowledge of metal polishing techniques, tools, and materials
- Strong attention to detail and ability to consistently produce high-quality finishes
- Experience working with different types of metal, such as stainless steel, aluminum, and brass
- Ability to interpret and follow technical drawings and specifications
- Physical stamina and strength to stand, bend, and lift heavy objects
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- High school diploma or equivalent education required
- Additional certifications or training in metal polishing is a plus
