Cambridge Groundskeeping Superintendent

Oakridge is seeking an experienced Grounds Keeping Superintendent based in Cambridge to lead year-round exterior maintenance operations across commercial properties. This role is suited to a hands-on leader with a strong grounds maintenance background who can coordinate crews, oversee multiple sites, and deliver consistent service.

Compensation:

• $60,000–$70,000 annually.
• Company vehicle and phone.
• Company-matched RRSP after one year.

Experience and Requirements:

• Previous grounds maintenance experience, including lawn care, landscaping, and commercial property maintenance.
• Previous supervisory experience leading grounds maintenance crews.
• Experience coordinating crews, equipment, and schedules across multiple properties.
• Knowledge of grounds maintenance equipment and safe operating practices.
• Experience with snow and ice management operations.
• Ability to travel throughout the service area.
• Valid driver’s license.

Leadership and Team Management:

• Lead and support crews in delivering safe, high-quality work.
• Assign daily tasks and monitor progress to keep work on schedule.
• Provide practical training, direction, and feedback.
• Address crew concerns and resolve conflicts professionally.

Communication and Client Relations:

• Clearly communicate work orders, safety requirements, and service expectations.
• Respond promptly to crew feedback and client concerns.
• Build professional relationships with property owners and managers.

Organization and Quality Control:

• Plan and prioritize daily and weekly maintenance activities.
• Conduct site inspections and coordinate corrections where needed.
• Ensure properties consistently meet company and client standards.
