Adecco is currently hiring a Laboratory Technician for a full-time opportunity within a pharmaceutical manufacturing environment. This role is ideal for candidates with experience in laboratory testing, sample preparation, GMP, chemistry, pharmaceutical manufacturing, quality control, and laboratory documentation.
As a Laboratory Technician, you will support scientists and laboratory operations by preparing solutions, performing routine testing, maintaining laboratory documentation, and ensuring compliance with GMP and regulatory standards.
Pay Rate: $22.55/hour
Location: Whitby, ON
Shift: Monday to Friday | 9 AM - 5 PM

Responsibilities:
Laboratory Support
Prepare bulk solutions and laboratory materials required for testing activities.
Assist scientists with sample preparation, dissolution testing, and routine laboratory tasks.
Perform in-process testing, including particle size distribution, tapped density, and flow index analysis.
Support additional physical testing activities as required.
Documentation & Compliance
Document experimental data following ALCOA principles (Attributable, Legible, Contemporaneous, Original, and Accurate).
Prepare raw data packages and supporting documentation for clients.
Maintain accurate laboratory records using electronic documentation systems.
Ensure compliance with GMP, laboratory procedures, and regulatory requirements.
Safety & Quality
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe laboratory environment.
Report potential hazards and follow all health and safety procedures.
Support quality initiatives and adhere to pharmaceutical industry standards.
Qualifications and Skills:
College Diploma in Laboratory Technology, Science, Chemistry, or a related field.
Bachelor of Science in Chemistry or a related scientific discipline is considered an asset
Experience working with laboratory equipment such as balances, pipettes, and testing instruments.
Minimum 1 year of experience in a GMP laboratory environment is considered an asset.
Strong understanding of basic chemistry principles and laboratory techniques.
Knowledge of pharmaceutical quality and regulatory requirements.
Ability to read and interpret technical procedures and regulations.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and electronic documentation systems.
Fluency in English required.
Participate in rotating or alternating shifts as required.
Experience performing physical testing such as hardness, disintegration, moisture (KF), or appearance testing.
Previous experience in pharmaceutical, biotech, or laboratory environments.
Must be legally eligible to work, and reside in Canada
