We work with top contractors on exciting projects worldwide, offering a comprehensive product line that includes crane-mounted lead systems, reverse circulation rock drills, and diesel pile-driving hammers.
We seek a Mechanical Engineer or Technologist to join our team and contribute to our continued success. As an Engineering team member at Berminghammer, you will work with highly talented senior Engineers and Designers to develop new products and improve manufacturing processes while maintaining high-quality standards.
You will work in a fast-paced, constantly evolving, low-volume custom manufacturing setting.
Key Responsibilities :
- Design, analyze, and test mechanical systems and components.
- Develop and maintain engineering drawings, specifications, and documentation.
- Perform engineering calculations and simulations to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement innovative solutions.
- Conduct research and development activities to support project goals.
- Assist in the preparation of project proposals, budgets, and schedules.
- Troubleshoot and resolve engineering issues as they arise.
- Ensure all work complies with relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations.
Qualifications :
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or a related field.
- 3-7 years of experience in a Mechanical Design Engineering role.
- Strong understanding of heavy steel structure design and fabrication methodologies.
- Ability to perform and document design calculations as required.
- Ability to perform and document Finite Element Analysis (FEA) is an asset.
- Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, etc.).
- Strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles and practices.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
- Eagerness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
