Manual Machinist

Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Manual Machinist with strong hands-on experience operating manual machines such as milling machines, lathes, and drill presses. The ideal candidate will have their own tools and gauges and be capable of producing high-quality parts with precision and accuracy.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate manual milling machines, lathes, and drill presses

• Set up machines and perform machining operations according to specifications

• Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings

• Measure and inspect parts using precision gauges and tools

• Maintain tight tolerances and ensure part accuracy

• Perform basic machine maintenance and adjustments

• Ensure all work meets quality standards

• Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean workspace

• Work independently to meet production deadlines

Requirements:

• Experience with manual machining (milling, lathe, drilling)

• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings

• Must have own tools and measuring gauges

• Strong understanding of machining processes and tolerances

• High attention to detail and precision

• Ability to work afternoon shift

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with custom machining or small-batch production

• Knowledge of different materials (steel, aluminum, etc.)

• Strong problem-solving skills
