Responsibilities

Reporting to the Director of Sales, the Canadian Safety Sales Managerwill lead and manage a team of Safety Specialists in order penetrate and grow revenue within prescribed safety categories.

The Canadian Safety Sales Manager will partner with Tenaquip local sales and Safety vendors to ensure that we are working together to proactively target, engage and close safety business.

  • Champion Tenaquip’s Safety strategy both internally (whole company) and externally (industry associations, customers, and suppliers)
  • Attract, hire, train and develop Safety Specialists to execute defined strategy.
  • Effectively manage staff to execute key performance drivers and meet defined revenue goals.
  • Execute Sales Management Process, to assess and develop Safety Specialists.
  • Coordinate monthly / quarterly sales meetings for Safety Specialists to review key business initiatives, critical business metrics and ensure team alignment.
  • Analyze business needs, costs / budgets, and economic earnings.
  • Execute Sales Management Process, to assess and develop Safety Specialists.
  • Partner and collaborate with leadership and local leaders to ensure effective execution of day-to-day operations.
  • Collaborate with Sales, Corporate and Category management teams to address market needs and Tenaquip offerings.
  • Create and expand relationship with key contacts in aligned markets and industry.
  • Stay current on Safety Legislation, Trends, and market conditions.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 8 years safety supplier or industrial distribution experience preferred.
  • Previous sales management experience with a distributor or safety manufacturer is preferred.
  • Business analysis experience and the ability to identify and implement improvement opportunities are required.
  • B2B sales management experience required.
  • Sales methodology training preferred.
  • Familiarity with CRM’s and applications.
  • An undergraduate degree or equivalent experience is preferred, MBA a plus.
  • Valid Driver’s License (a must)
