Position Summary
The IELTS Technician & IAM Officer is responsible for preparing, maintaining, and supporting International English Language Language Testing System (IELTS) technologies for computer delivery and identity authentication management (IAM).
Responsibilities — Technical maintenance
- Correspond with IDP Education (IDP Australia) and Cambridge English support teams on IELTS system updates and changes
- Monitor computer health status through Inspera to ensure smooth test operations
- Validate test sitting details following data imports from IELTS Web Administrative System (IWAS), Inspera and IAM systems
- Assist with Inspera access and authentication
- Manage Video Call Speaking (VCS) forms, Zoom cloud platforms and Secure File Transfer Protocol (SFTP) systems and download speaking interviews to SharePoint
- Monitor and archive closed circuit television (CCTV) camera footage at Computer Delivered (CD) lab venues for audit and compliance purposes
- Provide support and training for IELTS Examiners and test day staff

Prepare laptops and IAM kits with venue-specific data, verifying equipment and suppliesManages IAM data transfers, including photo uploads and secure storageLoad test day information to college systemsReview and edit test taker photos for complianceManage IAM inventory and maintain equipmentCreate and maintain documentation for test day staffResponsibilities — Test day

Set up new computer labs, install Inspera on computers, and prepare workstations according to the International Development Program (IDP) CD IELTS requirementsPerform remote computer verification and network connectivityDiagnose and troubleshoot hardware and software issues; implement solutions and procedural documentation; report major technical issues to Cambridge EnglishResponsibilities — Website and social media
