Located in Longueuil, on the South Shore of Montreal, this plant is not only the centre par excellence of the largest players in the aerospace industry for landing gear repair and maintenance, but also the plant that is recognized for the manufacture of the famous legs of the Apollo lunar module.

As an SAP Basis Administrator, you will be responsible for overseeing the Application Management Services for our SAP environment.

This role requires a deep understanding of SAP systems, including BASIS, ABAP, and Security modules. You will lead a team of professionals in managing, maintaining, and optimizing our SAP systems to ensure seamless and efficient business operations.

Main responsibilities :

Leadership and Team Management :

• Lead and mentor a team of SAP professionals.
• Ensure team compliance with IT standards, policies, and procedures.

SAP System Management :

• Oversee the administration of SAP BASIS, configuration, and maintenance.
• Guide the team in ABAP development for custom requirements and enhancements.
• Manage SAP security protocols, user access controls, and data privacy measures.

Service Delivery and Support :

• Ensure high-quality service delivery in line with SLAs.
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders and external vendors for system improvements and issue resolutions.
• Implement proactive measures to minimize system downtime and optimize performance.

Project Management :

Conduct regular project reviews and reports on progress.

Continuous Improvement :

• Drive continuous improvement initiatives in SAP services.
• Stay updated with the latest SAP technologies and industry trends.

Risk Management and Compliance :

• Monitor and manage risks related to SAP systems.
• Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory standards.

Qualifications :

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, or related field.
• Proven experience in managing and leading technical teams.
• Strong project management skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• SAP certification in BASIS, ABAP, or Security.
• Experience with SAP HANA and cloud-based SAP solutions.
• Familiarity with ITIL or similar IT service management frameworks.
• Able to communicate and write in French & English.
