Project Manager

Our client ShelBar ElectronicIndustries Ltd based in Airdrie is hiring a ProjectManager to join their quickly growing industry leadingSecurity Systems Integration company.

This role will be involved inmanaging projects across Canada (from British Columbia toOntario).

Their priority is clientfocused medium to large scaleaccess control and video managementsystems.

Whoare you A motivated attentive and hardworking Project Manager with extensive projectmanagement experience ideally with Physical Securities systemsexperience including security access control videomanagement and audio visual .

This role is managing allaspects of medium to large complex projects. The ideal individualwould have at least 35 years ofexperience.

Salary : $90000 $110000 per year (depending uponexperience)

Hoursof Work :

Monday toFriday 8 : 00am 4 : 30pm(FullTime)

Typical day althoughstart and end times mayvary.

Overtime may be required onoccasion.

Travel :

This role will be a combinationof in office and out of town. Travel will be significant with anestimated 2 weeks out of town and 2 weeks from the homebase.

Responsibilities

Managingoverseeing and coordinating all aspects for medium to largetypically more complex projects from quoting awarding through tothe completion of the project.

May be handling multiple projectssimultaneously.

• Overseeing projects formultiple clients including a large energy based client whileworking closely with both internal and other companies Technicianswith responsibility including the scheduling of tasks based onprogramming needs.
• Translating awide variety of customer needs / requirements; reviews and approvesestimated costs prior to bid; provisions technical assistance tothe sales force as and when required;
• project design engineering;supervision of installation labour and subcontractors preparationof project schedules subcontracts change proposals projectinvoices;

manage collections onprojects.

• Proactively communicatingproject requirements to project team and wider organization as andwhen required and maintaining accurate and uptodate records of jobstatus job changes material flow and other control recordsnecessary for processing internal and externalreports.
• Identifying potentialproject risks and develops / implements strategies to minimize impactand control deviations from estimated costs and projectdeadlines.
• Establish projectmilestones and analyze costs utilizing financial systems to reviewactual versus estimated job cost and provide timely and accurateproject cost report.
• Manage theexecution and review of all scopes of work terms and conditions incustomer contracts including cost control delivery fulfillmentquality of service and other customer requirements as theyarise.
• Perform a limited range ofmanagerial responsibilities including planning assigning anddirecting work performance management project budgeting whileoverseeing subcontractor selection process andwork.
• Safe operation of companyvehicle and reporting of mechanical issues in a timelymanner.
• Attendingmonthly safetymeetings.
• Adheringto all safety policies andprocedures.
• Othertasks as required andassigned.

Requirements

• Minimumof 35 years of Project Management experience ideally in an AccessControl environment.
• 2year Associatedegree in Project Management and / or a technical field involving ITNetwork Electronics or Computers is anasset.
• GenetecLenel or Avigilon experience is anasset.
• Working knowledge of ITnetwork systems isideal.
• Selfmotivatedwork with minimal supervision. Strong attention todetail.
• Strong oral and writtencommunication skills with the ability to complete and submitrequired paperwork in a timelymanner.
• Great time management skillswith experience in prioritizing tasks in order ofurgency.
• Valid drivers license withclean driving record.
• Ability towork independently possess initiative and a positive attitudetowards teamwork and constructivedirection.
• Must have orbe able to pass Canadian Government SecurityClearances.

Minimum of 3-5 years of Project Management experience, ideally inan Access Control environment. 2-year Associate degree in ProjectManagement and / or a technical field involving IT Network,Electronics or Computers is an asset.

Genetec, Lenel or Avigilonexperience is an asset. Working knowledge of IT network systems isideal. Self-motivated - work with minimal supervision.

Strongattention to detail. Strong oral and written communication skills,with the ability to complete and submit required paperwork in atimely manner.
