Job descriptionMetal product fabrication industry Sheet metal shop Check products for correct shapes, dimensions and other specifications Clean and lubricate machinery and equipment Cut, bend, roll, ream, punch, drill, weld or otherwise shape and form metal stock into parts or products Investigate problems to fix or make minor repair Lay out, set up and operate one or more light or heavy metalworking machines Operate presses or other forging machines to perform hot or cold forging to shape or form metal Position and adjust dies on anvil of forging machinery Read and interpret specifications or follow verbal instructions Equipment and machinery experience Brakes Power presses Shears Use computer numerical control (CNC) machines Hand tools Brakes and presses Press brakes and metalworking equipment Bending Flattening Forming Straightening Attention to detail Fast-paced environment Hand-eye coordination Repetitive tasks Standing for extended periods Work under pressure Up to 23 kg (50 lbs) Judgement Organized Team player Dental plan Health care plan Vision care benefits Bonus Group insurance benefits Life insurance Free parking available
