Job description

Brandt Truck & Trailers is currently seeking a Rental Manager - Transportation for our Nisku Truck and Trailer location. This position is responsible for the management of all trucks and trailers held in our rental fleet.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Asset management – from initial purchase, through life cycle and liquidation of the asset
  • Growth of fleet assets, forecasting seasonal and annual equipment needs
  • P&L on all assets held in the fleet
  • Fleet maintenance planning and costing
  • Transportation and assignment of assets throughout the Brandt dealer infrastructure
  • Managing contracts and insurance for fleet equipment
  • Work with area Sales Managers and Territory Managers, to build the Transportation Rental Business in Western Canada
  • Participate in all sales opportunities, and close competitive sales
  • Ensure good working relationships between our customers and maintain customer loyalty
  • Manage and maintain customer accounts and profiles
  • Travel as needed within Western Canada

Required Skills
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to meet strict deadlines
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Proficient use of Great Plains would be an asset.
  • Previous accounting experience is considered an asset
  • Educational Requirements
    • High School Graduate
    • Post-Secondary Education considered an asset
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a team environment as well as work individually with minimal supervision
  • Goal orientated and driven to exceed targets
  • Ability to continuously learn and adapt to new technology and programs


Required Experience
