Game Designer (4-month contract)

Important : This is a 4-month contract role for Ontario-based independent contractors only. Contractors are responsible for managing their own taxes, CPP contributions, and any other statutory obligations.

Location & Hours : This is a hybrid position with in-person collaboration required at our Toronto office (Queens Quay West) a minimum of three (3) days per week for the duration of the 4-month contract. Standard working hours are Monday to Friday, 9 : 00 a.m. to 5 : 00 p.m.

About the Role : We are seeking a creative and highly skilled Game Designer to join our team for a 4-month contract. In this role, you will spearhead the design and conceptualization of 3 new casino slot mini-games, taking them from initial concept to launch. You will play a pivotal role in the design and balancing of these projects, working closely with cross-functional teams to deliver outstanding products.

What You'll Do

• Slot Game Design : Conceptualize and design mechanics, themes, and features for three distinct slot titles within the 4-month timeline
• Math & Balancing : Create or collaborate on the mathematical models (volatility, Return To Player, hit frequency) to ensure engaging player experiences and game economy balance
• Documentation : Specific Game Design Documents (GDDs) and wireframes that clearly communicate mechanics to artists and engineers
• Collaborate Cross-Functionally : Work closely with designers, artists, and engineers to implement new features and enhance existing ones
• Feature Tuning : Iterate on game pacing, audio-visual cues, and juiciness to maximize player retention and excitement
