The Smurfit Westrock Mississauga Folding (labels) facility is looking for two (2) Project Coordinators to join our Customer Service team.
Project Coordinators will approach a new project by meeting with Sales Executives, Account Managers, and Customers to understand their vision, needs, and requirements, and utilize their technical expertise to analyze risk and opportunity while discussing the scope of the project and offering suggestions and guidance.
Project Coordinators will oversee a project from the initial phase of reviewing client requirements to the final stages of production and distribution.
Key Responsibilities :
- Being the central point of contact for clients, sales, and other departments for project fulfillment.
- Liaise with internal departments to assist with customers’ project requirements, scope, and objectives.
- Creation of production estimates for repeat orders.
- Creation of work orders (dockets) from receipt of customer purchase order.
- Confirmation of order details and delivery to the customer.
- Collaborate with approved outside vendors and coordinate all aspects of project procurement management.
- Monitor project progress and handle any issues that arise.
- Oversee multiple orders concurrently, from receipt of customer purchase order to release / delivery / approval of draft invoices of finished goods.
- Enforce customer quality requirements throughout the process.
- Work with the client on forecasts and order management and monitor inventory and releases.
- Take ownership for exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
- Work with the internal team to monitor spend and implement possible cost-saving actions.
- Perform all required tasks and activities in accordance with established facility Quality Control Procedures (QCP’s), Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s).
- Demonstrate superior communication skills both oral and written.
- Exhibit excellent organizational skills, ability to multitask, and prioritize.
- Be dynamic, self-motivated, with the ability to work independently and proactively.
- Partner with the Quality department to resolve routine customer issues.
- Partner with Estimating to build customer specifications and review with the production team to ensure efficient production.
- Quickly and effectively resolve customer or production issues by maintaining clear communication with customers on status and resolution.
What You Need to Succeed :
- Minimum 3 years production / project management / customer service preferred.
- Ability to adapt to new order entry and estimating systems with training.
- A thorough understanding of layout and imposition.
Additional Skills That Might Be Beneficial :
- Familiarity with current digital pre-press workflows, as well as standard applications such as Adobe Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, and Acrobat) is an asset.
- Degree / Diploma in Graphic Arts Communications or an equivalent combination of education and experience is an asset.
- A solid understanding of sheet-fed offset and / or flexo printing is considered an asset.
- Radius ERP knowledge is an asset.
- Experience in the print industry is preferred.
