The Opportunity

We are looking for someone to join our product development team at Planview as a Senior Software Engineer and become a key member of our Flow Fabric Team.

This role offers the unique opportunity to shape and lead the development of API integrations and data processing pipelines in a cloud environment (AWS) that are at the heart of our software solutions.

Our core challenges include :

  • How do we ingest large amounts of data and determine what has changed as quickly as possible?
  • How do we build processing capabilities and abstractions that support a common data ingestion process from vastly different types of software applications?

Your efforts will be crucial in revolutionizing how businesses harness and interpret vast amounts of workflow data, transforming it into actionable insights that drive organizational efficiency and effectiveness.

What You'll Do

In this role, you will

  • Create and refine integrations and data processing architectures that operate seamlessly with a diverse array of external tools, enhancing the way software is delivered across industries.
  • Drive operational excellence by critically analyzing problems, defining requirements, and developing robust and innovative solutions.
  • Lead and inspire a team of talented engineers, promoting a culture of high ownership, meticulous quality focus, and proactive problem-solving.
  • Stay at the cutting edge of technology, updating and expanding your team’s knowledge in cloud architectures, data processing, and advanced analytics, ensuring you and your team remain leaders in tech innovation.

What You'll Bring

The ideal candidate is an experienced professional in cloud software development with a foundation in data processing and scalable software systems.

You collaborative effectively and are a leader who enjoys mentoring, guiding, and inspiring others.

Expected Salary Range for this role : 115,000 CAD to 135,000 CAD

Preferred Qualifications Skills, Knowledge, and Expertise :

  • 4+ years of experience with Java (v17), Scala or other JVM programming languages, focusing on back-end systems and cloud-based technologies.
  • Strong capability in architecting and designing robust, scalable software systems.
  • Proficiency in AWS or any other popular cloud platform.

Other Beneficial Qualifications

  • Big data technologies such as Kafka, Amazon Redshift, and MongoDB
  • Continuous integration / deployment tooling such as GitHub, Jenkins, Travis CI, or others.
  • Proficiency in Test-Driven Development.
  • Containers and orchestration tools like Kubernetes.
  • Experience working in remote / distributed teams and projects.
