Job Summary

The role operates as a Global Engineering expert as partof the Rotating Equipment team within the Asset Technology Centrewith the purpose to drive the Asset Integrity Vision for fosteringcontinuous improvement in Reducing operational risks Increasingrevenue and optimizing cost across all Manufacturing sitesglobally.

This is a technical specialist role providing support toturbomachinery group for resolution of vibration issues asexperienced in high speed turbomachinery.

The key responsibility isto carry out rotor dynamic analysis involving complex shaftingsystems bearings seals in high speed turbomachines usingspecialized software.

Evaluate outputs of study and provide optionstowards resolution of issues. Job role may also involve conductingstudies to validate rotor dynamic analysis for new equipment andrerates of existing turbomachines.

KeyResponsibilities :

TechnicalLeadership :

• Identifyevaluate and develop This Company Manufacturing Standards forTurbomachines rotordynamics and rotor balancing.
• Identify evaluate and develop engineering Best Practices(BP) for Turbomachines rotordynamics and rotorbalancing.
• Ensure timely review of ThisCompany Engineering Standards related to Turbomachinesrotordynamics and rotor balancing.
• Monitor themarket for new ideas innovations and identify novel solutions forCompressors within This Company.
• Engage withkey OEMs to address design issues affecting asset reliability andto stay informed about upcoming technologicalimprovements.

Strategy andPlanning :

• SupportTeam Lead in developing and managing rotating equipment annual andfiveyear work plans with specific deliverables forCompressors.
• Conduct annual Performance Killeranalysis based on actual production loss data to generateResolution Plans (PKRP) recommending specific actions to mitigatecommon failure modes.

Technical Support andEngagement :

• Providetechnical support to the Turbomachinery Expert group throughrotordynamics analysis using software like Dyrobes Ansys orXLrotor.
• Conduct rotordynamics modelingbearing and seal analysis for turbomachinery for their responsesstability integrity and assess interaction with surroundingsystems.
• Evaluate study outputs compare withobserved rotor behavior and offer resolutions to high vibrationissues.
• Work with Regional Asset Support (RAS)team to provide technical support and consultation to resolvechronic failures / issues globally.
• Support ThisCompany manufacturing in technical audits assessments cold eyereviews and remaining life assessment initiatives.
• Participate in failure analysis of actual / potentialincidents with C1 / C2 classifications.
• Provideexpert knowledge on safety and reliability related programsapplicable to This Company SHEMS and OMS.
• Validate rotordynamics studies carried out by OEMs fornew equipment and during rerates.

Knowledge and NetworkManagement :

• Communicate critical business cases through TechnicalAlerts (TA) to Global Manufacturing.
• Participate in internal and external rotating equipmenttechnical networks forums conferences and committees.
• Manage the Turbomachinery Expert Group ensuring adherenceto Operating Rhythm Charter for Networking and Knowledgesharing.

CompetencyDevelopment Mentoring and Coaching :

• Develop and deliver specialized qualitytraining to This Company manufacturing engineersglobally.
• Develop maintain and retaintopquality rotating equipment expertise through effective trainingmentoring and coaching.

General :

Comprehend and apply legal guidelines in the rotatingequipment department.

Requirements :

• This role required candidate topermanently relocate at Jubail SaudiArabia.
• Bachelors Degree ofScience (BS) in Mechanical Engineering.
• Manufacturing Experience encompassing Technicalengineering Maintenance Management Reliability and ProjectManagement.
• Minimum of 15 years of experiencewith at least 7 years in the Petrochemical and Oil and Gasindustry.
• Extensive experience in using rotordynamic software such as Dyrobes Ansys XLRotor Matlab and withFinite Element Analysis (FEA).
• Specificexperience in Design / Engineering involving rotor dynamic aspects ofturbomachines with a major OEM.
• Fieldexperience in Vibration data collection and analysis.
• Thorough knowledge of general principles and theoriesrelated to engineering and contributes significantly to thesolution of a variety of unique and complex engineeringproblems.
• Experience in people management andability to use influence to achieve results.
• Flexible and able to reprioritize tasks based on changingbusiness needs.
• Desire and ability toselfteach new software programs or systems.
• Excellent communication skills both interpersonal andpresentation skills to all levels including executivemanagement.
• Aboveaverage proficiency inEnglish language (written and spoken).
• Proficient in MS Office applications with advancedknowledge of MS Excel .
• Experience within theGulf States would be advantageous.
• Knowledgeof petrochemicals rotating equipment engineering.
