Baker Tilly Ottawa LLP is seeking an experienced individual to join our tax services team. The successful candidate will assist in ensuring client tax compliance needs are met, providing tax planning opportunities, and resolving complex tax issues.
Primary Responsibilities :
- Review tax filings (T1, T2, T3, T5013 returns) for completeness.
- Offer tax planning services.
- Research and resolve tax issues.
- Participate in special engagements.
- Develop community relationships.
- Manage and guide tax group staff.
- Support and mentor staff on tax matters.
- Conduct technical sessions for staff.
Requirements :
- 3-5+ years of public accounting experience with a tax focus.
- CICA In-depth tax course completion or in progress.
- Strong knowledge of Canadian tax issues and GAAP requirements.
- Proficiency in Caseware and Taxprep.
- Client-focused with good interpersonal and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a team.
- Attention to detail, confidentiality, and strong work ethic.
